libofapi-dev software package provides OpenFirmware device-tree parsing library [development files], you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libofapi-dev
libofapi-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libofapi-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libofapi-dev *
You will get with libofapi-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
